Two close associates of ‘Makandure Madush’ and ‘Keselwattte Dinuka’ arrested

A close associate of the notorious underworld figure and drug trafficker ‘Makandure Madush’ has been arrested at the Mirania Road in Keselwatte.

The suspect had been in possession of more than 2g of heroin at the time of the arrest, the Police said.

The officers of Keselwatte Police had taken the suspect into custody at around 12.15pm yesterday (27).

According to reports, the suspect, aged 49, is a resident of Colombo 12 area.

Further investigations have uncovered that he had attended the party thrown by ‘Makandure Madush’ in Dubai where he was apprehended with several others.

The suspect will be produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court today (28).

In another development, an associate of the underwold figure ‘Keselwatte Dinuka’ has also been arrested by the police.
