Couple arrested in Piliyandala with over 2kg heroin

Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) has arrested a married couple who were in possession of over 2kg of heroin.
The couple were reportedly arrest while transporting the drugs in a car at Pelanwatta, Piliyandala.
The arrests were made based on information received by the CCD while 02 kg and 10 grams of heroin was found in their possession.
The CCD is conducting further investigations.
Meanwhile a total of 393 individuals have been arrested for the possession of drugs including heroin during police operations carried out within the Western Province yesterday (12).
