DEW Gunasekara steps down as General Secretary of Communist Party of Sri Lanka

Former parliamentarian D. E. W. Gunasekara has stepped down as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka.

Following his resignation, the party has appointed a new General Secretary for the party.

Accordingly, Dr. G. Weerasinghe has been appointed to the post left vacant by Gunasekara.
