Brother-in-law of ‘Wele Suda’ arrested

The brother-in-law of the notorious underworld leader ‘Wele Suda’, who is currently imprisoned, has been arrested along with 2 other individuals, states Police Media Division.

A team of officers from the Imaduwa Police has arrested the suspects at the Kanake area in Weligama, Matara.

According to the Police, the arrestee is the 47-year-old brother of Wele Suda’s wife.

Further, two residents of Kohuwala and Nugegoda areas, have also been arrested while at the suspect’s residence.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that an amount of Rs 2 million had been transacted through the bank account of the brother-in-law of ‘Wele Suda’.

The three arrestees will be produced before the Galle Magistrate’s Court today (10).
