Accomplice of ‘Ratgama Vidura’ arrested with T-56 rifles

An accomplice of underworld gang leader ‘Ratgama Vidura’ has been arrested along with two T-56 assault rifles at Hikkaduwa.

The arrest has been made by Police Special Task Force (STF) personnel during an operation. 

Following the interrogation of the suspect, the two assault rifles were recovered, the STF said.

The arrested suspects and firearms have been handed over to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for further investigations. 

He is believed to be an accomplice of organised criminal gang leader ‘Ratgama Vidura’, who is currently in hiding in Italy.
