Contacts of Minuwangoda Brandix staffers asked to take PCR tests

All those who have come in contact with the employees of the Brandix apparel factory in Minuwangoda after September 23, have been urged to undergo PCR tests.

The announcement was communicated by the Commander of Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva today (10).

More than 1,400 workers of the factory were referred to PCR tests after one of its employees tested positive for the virus last Sunday (04).

The total number of Covid-19 cases detected from the cluster linked to the apparel factory now stands at 1,083.
