Curfew for Fort, Pettah, Borella, Welikada from 6 pm

Quarantine curfew is to be imposed in several more police areas in the Colombo District, states the Department of Government Information.
Accordingly, the Fort, Pettah, Borella, and Welikada Police areas will be under curfew from 6 pm today (25).
The decision will be in effect until further notice, stated the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
In addition, several more police areas in the Colombo and Kalutara Districts, and the whole of the Gampaha District are under curfew.
Following areas are currently under or is set to be under curfew:
Colombo District: Mattakkuliya, Modara, Wellampitiya, Bloemendhal, Grandpass, Kotahena, Dematagoda, Maradana, Gothatuwa, Mulleriyawa, Maligawatte, Keselwatte, Dam Street, Barber Street, Foreshore, Fort, Pettah, Borella, and Welikada police areas
Kalutara District: Payagala, Beruwala, and Aluthgama police areas
Gampaha District: All of Gampaha District
Persons living in curfew areas have been requested to restrict their movements and interactions.
The decisions have come after the recent surge in Covid-19 positive cases in the aforementioned and localities.
