Persons who left the Western Province before curfew came into effect will be placed under isolation for two weeks at respective establishments they are currently staying at, says Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana.

Speaking to ‘Derana Aruna’ this morning (31), DIG Rohana said the police, along with the assistance of tech experts, have launched probes into those who posted in social media about leaving the province prior to curfew.

The police officers will obtain necessary information about the guests who arrived on the 29th and 30th of October from the management of each hotel, the police spokesperson added.

Legal action will be sought against hotel management, if they withhold details of the guests, he stressed.
