Request to recite ‘Rathana Sutta’ at every temple

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has requested the Maha Sangha to recite the ‘Rathana Sutta’ in every temple in the country for the benefit of the country and the people in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Issuing a press release, the Prime Minister says that not only Sri Lanka but the entire world is facing a severe crisis due to the epidemic.

In such a backdrop, the ‘Rathana Sutta’ is being chanted at many temples in the island, wishing all the people of the world protection from the coronavirus, the Prime Minister’s Office pointed out.

Therefore, the Prime Minister further requested that the ‘Ratana Sutta’ be chanted in all temples of the island every day and invoke blessings and security to the country and the people.
