506 COVID-19 recoveries reported within last 24 hours

Five hundred and six more individuals infected with COVID-19 have made complete recoveries today (22), says the Ministry of Health.

As per the situation report issued by the Epidemiology Unit, patients from the following hospitals have been discharged in this manner:

National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID) - 20
Welikanda Base Hospital - 52
Iranawila Hospital - 40 
Minuwangoda Base Hospital - 02
Colombo East Base Hospital – 30
Hambantota District General Hosptial -113
Rambukkana District Hospital - 04
Kamburugamuwa Hospital – 88
Dr. Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital – 45
Homagama Base Hospital – 50 
Ambanpola District Hospital – 02
Lunawa District Hospital – 30
Ingiriya District Hospital – 19
Kosgama District Hospital – 11

COVID-19 recuperations confirmed in Sri Lanka thereby reached 4,905.

According to statistics, the tally of positive cases reported from Sri Lanka now sits at 10,663.

The Epidemiology Unit says 5,738 active cases are currently under medical care at selected hospitals.

Sri Lanka also witnessed 20 deaths from the virus so far.
