Showers or thundershowers will develop over several parts of the island during the evening or night.
Showers or thundershowers may occur in the coastal areas of Eastern province and Mullaitivu district in the morning too.
Heavy showers above 100 mm can be expected at some places in Central, North-Central, Uva, North-Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces.
The public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces.

Winds will be variable in the sea areas around the island. Winds speed will be (10-20) kmph.
