A grace period will be granted for consumers under quarantine or curfew and isolated areas to pay their water bills, says Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara.

The Minister of Water Supply mentioned this holding a press conference in Colombo today (07).

He said: “Water bills have to be paid as usual. Those who live in a closed-off area or if you a quarantined family who cannot pay at the moment, they have the opportunity to pay on a day they can.”

Minister Nanayakkara further pointed out that the government alone cannot take responsibility for the control of the COVID-19 virus.
