184 more coronavirus cases identified

More COVID-19 positive cases have been identified in Sri Lanka while the total number of cases reported from the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda clusters reached 10,803.

 

As per Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, 184 more persons were tested positive for the virus. 

 

All the new cases are associates of the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda clusters, the Department of Government Information confirmed.

 

Thereby, a total of 356 new cases were detected within the day.

 

With the new development, Sri Lanka has confirmed 14,285 novel coronavirus infections to date.

 

According to Health Ministry’s data, 8,880 of the confirmed patients have made complete recoveries from the virus.

 

The Epidemiology Unit says 5,370 active cases are still receiving medical treatment at selected hospitals across the island.
