Kollupitiya Crimes OIC’s PCR test is negative – Police

The officer-in-charge (OIC) of the Kollupitiya Police Crimes Unit, who had passed away this morning at Galle Face, has tested negative for COVID-19, the police said.

The PCR test was carried out during the postmortem and it was negative for the novel coronavirus.

The police officer had passed away from a sudden illness at the Galle Face Green, while exercising this morning (26).

The 42-year-old is a resident of the Maussagolla area in Passara.
