Recoveries from Covid-19 in Sri Lanka cross 34,000 mark

Ministry of Health says 698 more persons infected with Covid-19 were discharged from medical care today (30) upon making complete recoveries.

 

Thereby, the total number of recoveries from the virus reached 34,623.

 

Majority of the recoveries were recorded by Bindunuwewa Treatment Centre (180), Kopay Treatment Centre (47), Warakapola Base Hospital (43), Panideniya Treatment Centre (42), Punanai Treatment Centre (38), Polgolla Treatment Centre (32) and Dr Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital (31).

 

In all, Sri Lanka has confirmed 42,063 novel coronavirus infections to date. As per Epidemiology Unit data, 7,245 of them are still under medical care.

 

The country has also witnessed 195 deaths from the virus outbreak.
