New Director appointed to CID

SSP Rohan Premaratne has been appointed as the new Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), says the Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana.

The new appointment came after former CID Director SSP Nishantha Soyza was transferred to the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) as its Director.

The latest changes were made upon the approval of the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security in order to meet service requirements, the police spokesperson said further.
