The identity of police informants will not be revealed under any circumstances, says Minister of Public Security Sarath Weerasekera.

In a twitter message, the minister said that informing the Police of a crime is not “snitching or ratting out” and that it is a moral duty and a social responsibility of every law-abiding citizen.

“I urge the citizenry to assist Law Enforcement. Identity of “Informants” will never be revealed under any circumstance,” he said.
