Sri Lanka has ranked top in the world as the country that rolled out the highest number of vaccinations in the past week.

According to ‘Our World in Data’ – a scientific online publication that focuses on large global problems – Sri Lanka has vaccinated 13% of its population during this period.

The Head of the web publication Edouard Mathieu revealed this in a tweet posted yesterday (Sep. 03).

Vaccinating 12.5% of its population in the past week, the island nation was followed by Ecuador.

Third and fourth places were secured by Brunei and New Zealand with 11.7% and 11.6% of its populations being vaccinated, respectively.

‘Our World in Data’ noted that the vaccinations are counted as single doses and may not equal the total number of people inoculated, depending on the specific dose regime.
