Sri Lanka receives another batch of Pfizer vaccines

Another batch of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines has arrived in Sri Lanka this morning (October 19).
The consignment was first transported from Amsterdam to Doha in a special flight chartered by Qatar Airways.
The flight carrying 608,000 vaccine doses subsequently touched down at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake at around 2.15 a.m. today.
This brings the total amount of Pfizer vaccines received by Sri Lanka to 2.8 million, according to State Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana.
