The Court of Appeal has issued an interim order operative until May 21 restraining the Army Commander from proceeding with first Court Martial against Rtd. Gen. Sarath Fonseka.
The first CourtMartial was appointed to probe charges against Fonseka of engaging in politics while being the Chief of Defence Staff.
However the President of the Court of Appeal Sathya Hettige dissented from the majority decision.
