A stock of 5,800 metric tonnes of diesel required for the Kerawalapitiya, Kelanitissa and privately-owned Sojitz power plants have been provided, says the Ministry of Energy.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) said yesterday that there would be no extension in the duration of power interruptions to 10 hours next week.

Mr. Janaka Ratnayake stated that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) had assured the supply of adequate fuel stocks for power generation activities.
