General Shavendra Silva bestowed with honorary title

Chief of Defence Staff General Shavendra Silva has been bestowed with the honorary title of “Mahamanya Prathapadi-keshwara” by the Asgiri Maha Viharaya.
In recognition of his services for the country, religion and national security, Chief of Defense Staff General Shavendra Silva was awarded the title of “Mahamanya Prathapadi-keshwara” at the Asgiri Maha Viharaya in Kandy this afternoon (28).
The Karaka Sangha Sabha of the Asgiri Maha Viharaya has decided to bestow this honorary title to General Shavendra Silva for the service rendered by him for several decades.
