Virtusa won the Gold Award for HR Practices at the HRM Awards 2010 – Super 10 conducted by Sri Lanka Association of Human Resource Professionals (HRP) and Hewitt Associates India.

Virtusa also won a special recognition award for the company Performance Management Process. The HRM Awards benchmarks human resources management in Sri Lankaand aims to identify and recognize “Best HRM practices”.

The evaluation process was very strict. After the initial call for registrations, questionnaires were used to create a shortlist of companies to compete in the next stage. These companies were then, “audited” by Hewitt Associates, who passed on their findings to an independent judging panel that included eminent Sri Lankan academics, professionals, and leading international HR and business leaders.

The award not only recognizes Virtusa’s HR strategy and people practices but also the hard work of the HR team, leadership team and all Virtusans.

Other Super 10 gold winners include Aitken Spence, Ceylon Tobacco, Commercial Bank, DIMO, Hatton National Bank, HSBC, John Keells Holdings, Standard Chartered Bank, and Unilever.
