Rishad released from case filed over Easter attacks

MP Rishad Bathiudeen, who was named a suspect in a case filed over Easter Sunday terror attacks, has been acquitted by Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage.

The verdict was delivered when the magisterial inquest pertaining to the lawsuit was taken up again today.

The former minister was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in April this year in connection with the Easter Sunday terror attacks.
