The Cabinet of Ministers have granted approval for the revision of the water and sewerage charges, Cabinet Spokesman Bandula  Gunawardena said.

As such, taking in to account the proposal presented by the Minister of Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the revision of charges that minimizes the impact on low-income groups and the social security base provided in connection with educational, religious and public water supplies.
