Sri Lanka signs MoU with France to detect oil spills using satellite imagery

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with the Government of France, to track oil leaks from ships in Sri Lankan waters using satellite technology.

The relevant MoU was signed between the Marine Environment Protection Authority of Sri Lanka (MEPASL) and the French Government.
