Member of Parliament Rohini Kaviratne alleges that the government has not taken steps to gazette the admissions for National Colleges of Education (NCOEs) for the students who appeared for G.C.E. Advanced Level examinations in the years 2019, 2020, 2021 or 2022.

MP Kaviratne also stressed that although there is a severe shortage of teachers in schools at present, the Ministry of Education has not taken any measures to overcome the relevant issues.

The MP further warned that against this backdrop, the education system of the country is in danger of collapsing.
