The Ella-Wellawaya main road is blocked for traffic by fallen trees and earth slips, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) says.
According to Ada Derana correspondent, the area has been pounded by torrential rainfall since this evening.
As a result of the inclement weather conditions, vehicular movement on the road has completely been disrupted.
