Litro gas prices to be increased tomorrow

November 3, 2023   03:42 pm

Litro Gas Lanka, one of the country’s two largest suppliers of domestic Liquefied Petroleum (LP) gas, is slated to announce a price hike tomorrow (Nov. 04).

According to the company’s chairman Muditha Peiris, the price of a 12.5kg domestic gas cylinder is expected to be increased by at least Rs. 75.

He attributed the move to the price hike in the global market.

In the months that have elapsed this year, Litro Gas has increased its prices on three occasions and reduced the rates on five occasions. Price revisions were not made in March and August.

Following the rate revision in October, the price of a 12.5kg domestic gas cylinder now stands at Rs. 3,470.
