Z-scores for 2022 A/L exam released

The minimum Z-scores required for the university admission for the academic year 2022/2023 based on the 2022 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination were released a short while ago. 

Accordingly, of the total 274,304 students who sat for the exam, 166,967 students have been deemed eligible for university admission for the academic year 2022/2023, Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Prof. Sampath Amaratunga said while addressing a media briefing held this afternoon (01 Dec,).

The results of the 2022(23) A/L exams came out online on 04 September, followed by the release of re-scrutinized results on 24 November. A total of 232,797 school applicants and 31,136 private applicants had sat for the exam, and out of them, 149,487 school applicants and 17,451 private applicants had qualified for university admission.

Attached below are the cut-off marks to select the courses of study in universities in respect of each district and detailed information of course selection based on the 2022 A/L Examination:
