One dead, two rescued in earth slip at construction site in Karapitiya

[UPDATED] - A mound of earth collapsed at a construction site near the Teaching Hospital in Karapitiya, burying three workers.

A search and rescue operation was initiated shortly after the incident to save the individuals trapped in the earth slip.

However, one of them was reported dead.

Meanwhile, the other two who were rescued from the earth slip have been rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention.
