Legal action against 180 institutions over banned polythene and plastic production

More than 7,000 institutions that produced banned polythene and plastic items were inspected last year, the Central Environment Authority (CEA) says.
The Deputy Director General of the Waste Management Division of the CEA, Ajith Weerasundara said that legal action has been taken against more than 180 institutions that have violated the laws related to the matter.
