Special commodity levy on imported rice slashed to Rs. 01

The existing Special Commodity Levy of Rs. 65 imposed on a kilogram of imported rice has been reduced to Rs. 01 per kilogram.
Accordingly, an Extraordinary Gazette has been issued by the Ministry of Finance, reducing the Special Commodity Levy with effect from 02 January until 21 January.
