Nearly 100kg of game meat found inside SLTB bus

Police have found around 100 kilograms of game meat which was being transported in a passenger bus attached to the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB).
The game meat stock was found in the rear luggage compartment of an SLTB passenger bus operating from Kataragama to Colombo in a sudden traffic inspection at the Habakgala Junction in Induruwa on Galle Road.
There, the driver and conductor of the bus were arrested by the police on suspicion as none of the passengers claimed the parcels.
The raid was carried out by the Bomb Disposal Unit and Search Unit of the Police Special Task Force, together with Kosgoda Police.
The bus is attached to Ambalantota Bus Depot of SLTB, according to police.
