Trains on Batticaloa Line limited to Polonnaruwa

The trains operating on the Batticaloa Line have been limited to Polonnaruwa due to flooding.

The Department of Railways mentioned that this decision was arrived at as the railway tracks remain inundated after recent downpours.

Meanwhile, the Department of Railways also said that the night mail train plying from Colombo Fort to Badulla was cancelled due to the prevailing situation.
