Sri Lanka have set a target of 246 for Scotland in the ICC World Cup Qualifiers match being played at the Queens Sports Club in Zimbabwe on Tuesday (27 June).
Sri Lanka were bowled out for 245 in 49.3 overs after Scotland put up a stellar bowling performance, after choosing to bowl first having won the toss.
Opener Pathum Nissanka was the best performer for Sri Lanka, with a total of 75 runs. Three wickets later, when Charith Asalanka joined him in the middle, the Lions were all set for a score of 280, but then lost wickets consecutively after the lower order failed to contribute.
Scotland’s Chris Greaves picked up a four-wicket haul, which included Dhananjaya de Silva, skipper Dasun Shanaka, Wanindu Hasaranga and Lahiru Kumara, while Mark Watt took out Nissanka, Charith Asalanka and Kasun Rajitha.
