International Sports Coordination Committee dissolved

Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Harin Fernando has dissolved the International Sports Coordination Committee in Sri Lanka.
Issuing a gazette notification to revoke and rescind the Gazette (Extraordinary) No. 2351/07 dated September 25, 2023, the relevant committee was dissolved with effect from January 26, 2024.
On September 25, then-Minister of Sports Roshan Ranasinghe appointed a three-member International Sports Coordination Committee with a mission to coordinate the affairs of international sports associations or organizations on behalf of any sports-related affair that Sri Lanka represents here or in a foreign country.
