N’Eliya Road Passenger Transport Authority officials arrested for accepting bribe

The District Manager and Management Assistant of the Nuwara Eliya Road Passenger Transport Authority have been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).

Accordingly, the suspects were arrested by the CIABOC for allegedly soliciting a bribe of Rs. 30,000 to change a bus owner’s route permit.
