Dr. Saman Ratnayake produced before court

Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Health Saman Ratnayake who was arrested on Friday evening (March 01), has been produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) apprehended him in connection with the substandard human intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) procurement scandal.
Dr. Ratnayake was placed under arrest 9 hours after he arrived at the CID premises on Friday morning to provide a statement.
