Lotus Road in Colombo closed due to protest

Lotus Road in Colombo has temporarily been closed due to a protest march by Government Executive Officers. 

The protest march has been organized by the Joint Committee of Government Executive Officers based on several demands including salary issues.

Meanwhile the trade union also says that Government Executive Officers across the island are engaged in trade union action by reporting sick leave today (02) and tomorrow (03) over their demands.
