The United States has once again assured their fullest support to Sri Lanka in the debt restructuring process, State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe said.

Posting on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Semasinghe said that he had a productive bilateral engagement with Mr. Robert Kaproth, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury during the ADB (Asian Development Bank) annual meeting in Tbilisi, Georgia.

During the bilateral discussion, the progress achieved in the debt restructuring process was discussed at length, he added.

Meanwhile, Mr. Kaproth has further pointed out the importance of continuing with the reforms that will enable a stable economy and avoid any future crisis.
