Youth killed in motorcycle accident in Kahawatta

A teenager has been killed in an accident involving a motorcycle near the 8th mile post on the Bemmulle Gedara Road in Kahawatte Ela, in the Pothuhera police area.
The accident had occurred as the motorcyclist, who was traveling from Bemmulle Gedara towards Kahawatta, had lost control of the motorcycle, causing it to veer off the road and fall into the Ginneriya Bridge.
Both the motorcycle rider and the pillion rider had sustained injuries in the incident and were admitted to Kurunegala Hospital.
However, the pillion rider had succumbed to his injuries after admission to the hospital.
The body of the deceased, a 19-year-old resident of the Wadakada area, has been placed in the Kurunegala Hospital.
