Unidentified body discovered in Giriulla

An unidentified body of a male has been recovered from a paddy field in the Kajuwetiyawatta area of Giriulla police division, the police said.

While the identity of the deceased male is yet to be ascertain, police said that he is believed to be between 50-60 years old.

Police also stated that the naked body was beyond recognition due to its advanced state of decomposition.

The body has been placed at the Kuliyapitiya Hospital, while the Giriulla Police are conducting further investigations.
