Police fire water cannons at protesting university non-academic staff

Police have used water cannons to disperse protesting university non-academic staff near Diyatha Uyana Junction at Battaramulla, Ada Derana reporter said.

The protest march was planned in conjunction with the ongoing strike initiated by university non-academic staff over their monthly allowances and wage disparity. However, the strike also continues today for the 11th consecutive day.
