Flood warning extended for low-lying areas of Attanagalu Oya

The Irrigation Department has extended the early flood warning issued for the lower valley of the downstream areas of Attanagalu Oya basin, for the next 48 hours.
Accordingly, the low-lying regions in the Gampaha, Ja-ela, Katana, Wattala, and Minuwangoda Divisional Secretariat divisions are particularly impacted, the department warned.
Residents and vehicle drivers in these areas are requested to pay high attention in this regard while Disaster Management Authorities are requested to take adequate precautions.
