The government has extended the rental allowance provided to homeowners who lost their residences due to landslides and flooding following Cyclone Ditwah and currently have no permanent place to live.
The allowance, which was granted to enable affected families to temporarily reside elsewhere while rebuilding their homes, has now been extended by an additional three months.
Accordingly, the Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval to increase the duration of the allowance from six months to nine months, providing continued support to displaced homeowners during the reconstruction period.
