Court adjourns magisterial inquiry into Kapila Chandrasena’s death

The Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court has ordered that the further magisterial inquiry into the death of former SriLankan Airlines Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kapila Chandrasena, who died under suspicious circumstances, be postponed until June 09.

 

The inquiry was taken up today before Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena, said Ada Derana reporter.

 

During the proceedings, statements were recorded from President’s Counsel Rienzie Arsecularatne and junior counsel Udara Muhandiramge, who appeared on behalf of the deceased in a case filed against him by the Bribery Commission.

 

Subsequently, the statement of the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of Kollupitiya Police was also recorded.

 

Thereafter, the further examination of evidence was postponed until June 09.
