Suspect arrested in Panadura with firearm, ammunition, and ‘Ice’

A suspect has been arrested in the Kuruppumulla area of Panadura while in possession of a foreign-manufactured revolver, 49 rounds of T-56 ammunition and nine rounds of 9mm ammunition.

 

The firearm and ammunition were recovered during a search operation carried out at a residence by officers attached to the Panadura South Police Station.

 

In addition, police reported that 4 grams and 280 milligrams of crystal methamphetamine (“Ice”) and a digital scale used for weighing narcotics were also found in the suspect’s possession.

 

The arrested individual is a 39-year-old resident of Kuruppumulla, Panadura, said police.

 

Further investigations are being conducted by the Panadura South Police.
