
A total of 27,043 tourists have arrived in the country thus far in June, data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) shows.
According to data released by the SLTDA, a total of 11,216 tourists have arrived from India which accounts to 42.0%. Furthermore, 1,938 persons from the United Kingdom, 1,562 from Australia, 1,496 from China and 1,241 Bangladeshi nationals have also visited Sri Lanka in the month of June.
In June 2025, a total of 138,241 tourists visited Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, the number of tourists who arrived in Sri Lanka in 2026 has increased to 1,049,065 with the release of the latest figures for June.
Among them, 261,476 individuals are from India, 100,031 from the UK, 76,628 from Russia, the SLTDA noted.
