Unidentified body found at Uswetakeiyawa Beach; investigation underway

A probe has been launched by the Pamunugama Police following information that an unidentified body had washed ashore at the Uswetakeiyawa beach area in Pamunugama.
The deceased is believed to be a male aged between 40 and 45 years, approximately 5 feet 3 inches in height, police said.
He is reported to have short-cropped hair and was wearing a green T-shirt and a blue-and-white mixed coloured sarong at the time of discovery.
The body has been placed at the Ragama Hospital mortuary, while Pamunugama Police continue further investigations.
